Wheaton Drama is proud to offer quality, affordable theater classes. During each session, students will engage in exploration of the performing arts. Guided by experienced Wheaton Drama members, including former professional entertainers, students will learn about acting and stagecraft.

A cutting edge three weekend workshop designed to tap into the ACTOR in new and innovative ways.

Blending 20 years of acting experience with amazing cutting edge personal empowerment and growth techniques, this course is designed to help you tap into your passion and skill like no where else.

Instructor bio:

Ben Dooley has been a professional working actor for over 20 years, bringing his full self, range and excellence to nearly every medium in the business—theater, voice over and on camera for commercial, industrial, radio, television, toys, books on tape, video games, print jobs, motion capture and traveling in the circus.

For the last 11 years, Ben has also been working full time as a certified Life Coach, skilled in the arts of helping people tap into their full power, their best selves and their deep unshakable confidence so they can create their success and achieve their dreams.

For kids:

Children will have a blast as they explore acting through a series of theatre and improvisational games. Young performers will learn basic stage and acting techniques while they further develop their imagination and creativity. This ensemble-building class will foster each student’s self-esteem and help them become risk takers both on and off the stage.

Two six-week sessions are offered this autumn (bonus if you register for both classes at the same time).

Grade 1-4 (Subject to change based on enrollment)
Session A Tuesday, September 9 through Tuesday, October 14
Session B Tuesday, November 4 through Tuesday, December 16 (no class Nov. 25)

Grades 5-8 (Subject to change based on enrollment)
Session A Wednesday, September 10 through Wednesday, October 15
Session B Wednesday, November 5 through Wednesday, December 17 (no class Nov. 26)

$100 per session per child
$180 per child for both sessions (must register for both sessions together/at same time)
