Wheaton Drama is proud to offer quality, affordable theater classes. During each session, students will engage in exploration of the performing arts. Guided by experienced Wheaton Drama members, including former professional entertainers, students will learn about acting and stagecraft.

Acting Up Session II, Grade 2-6

A continuing workshop using the basics of acting:  mime, observation, cooperation and collaboration, movement, voice, characterization, improvisation and storytelling using fun games, activities, scenes and monologues.  Tuesdays, March 11-April 22 (there will be no class the week of March 31st for Spring Break)

Actor’s Scene Study Workshop Ages 18+

Whether a beginning or seasoned performer, the art of sharing stage with a partner is a muscle that needs working. Join professional director and acting coach, Marge Uhlarik-Boller for a three week class which centers on encouraging the actor to examine his approach to the creative process using his unique personal perspective.  Working on scripts from contemporary theater, this class offers in-depth study including the development of a character, finding the truth and intention of a scene and working with a scene partner. Two outside scene rehearsals are recommended for this class.
